EUNIC Focal Points meeting Vilnius 2023
Once a year, nominated Focal Points for EUNIC in each member organisation come together to co-create the programme of the EUNIC network, and to have a peer-to-peer platform to discuss key developments as well as current challenges in international cultural relations. This year, the meeting was co-hosted by the Lithuanian Culture Institute in Vilnius from 15-16 May 2023.
Second edition of special EUNIC Ukraine Fund: Apply by 5 September
Following on the success of last year’s edition, the Culture of Solidarity - EUNIC Ukraine Fund is now launching a second special call looking to promote the visibility and embeddedness of Ukrainian culture across Europe, in partnership with, and co-funded by, the European Cultural Foundation (ECF) with other core financing led by the Government of Flanders and with additional contributions from the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Czech Centres.
EUNIC Mobility Scheme 2023-2024: Call for participants
Are you interested in travelling to another EUNIC member or cluster to learn more about their approach and exchange on a wide range of topics? The EUNIC Mobility Scheme allows any colleague of a EUNIC member to exchange knowledge and gain skills.
Monitoring & Evaluating the Societal Impact of Cultural Relations
What parameters currently inform the way EUNIC members use monitoring and evaluation for their programmes and projects? Are current practices undertaken in a fair way, and what does fair M&E look like? How can the UN's wider SDG framework and the UN 2030 Indicators for Culture complement and inform existing M&E practices of EUNIC members? How are the UN’s SDGs currently included in the processes, and how could both approaches benefit from each other?
EUNIC General Assembly votes for new Associate Member
On 8 and 9 December, EUNIC held its General Assembly, welcoming EUNIC members to Brussels. The network unanimously voted the Ukrainian Institute in as Associate Member, elected Carmen Noguero Galilea of the Instituto Cervantes to the Board of Directors and approved a new EUNIC Cluster in Kuwait. Joined by several key external partners to EUNIC including the European Institutions and NGO partners, members discussed role and evolution of the cultural relations approach in light of shifting geopolitics and explored the outcomes of the the latest phase of European Spaces of Culture.
