New European Spaces of Culture Call for Ideas - apply by 17 December
A new European Spaces of Culture Call for Ideas is looking for innovative and inspiring cultural relations projects co-created by EUNIC members, EU Delegations and local partners in countries outside the EU. Project ideas can be submitted until 17 December 2023 for a grant of up to 60,000 euros.
Apply Now: EUNIC Cluster Fund Call for Proposals 2023
This year's EUNIC Cluster Fund Call for Proposals is now open to applications from clusters worldwide until 6 November 2023. It features an optional thematic focus on culture & climate action. Submitted proposals are encouraged to address the climate crisis through cultural activities and combine culture with climate action in meaningful ways.
EUNIC General Assembly in Copenhagen
On 29 and 30 June, the EUNIC General Assembly was hosted by the Danish Cultural Institute in Denmark. The network welcomed the new presidency of Camilla Mordhorst from the Danish Cultural Institute and two new EUNIC Clusters in Indonesia and Côte d'Ivoire. Joined by a group of participants from the EUNIC Climate Culture(s) Creative Lab, the network engaged in a discussion on the role of cultural institutes for collective climate action.
Climate Culture(s) Creative Lab in Berlin
The EUNIC Climate Culture(s) Creative Lab took place in Berlin from 22 to 28 June 2023. As part of the Goethe-Institut’s presidency of EUNIC in 2022-2023, the Lab brought to life new connections and collaboration among EUNIC members on environment, climate, and culture and to support emerging leadership on these topics.
EUNIC Focal Points meeting Vilnius 2023
Once a year, nominated Focal Points for EUNIC in each member organisation come together to co-create the programme of the EUNIC network, and to have a peer-to-peer platform to discuss key developments as well as current challenges in international cultural relations. This year, the meeting was co-hosted by the Lithuanian Culture Institute in Vilnius from 15-16 May 2023.
Second edition of special EUNIC Ukraine Fund: Apply by 5 September
Following on the success of last year’s edition, the Culture of Solidarity - EUNIC Ukraine Fund is now launching a second special call looking to promote the visibility and embeddedness of Ukrainian culture across Europe, in partnership with, and co-funded by, the European Cultural Foundation (ECF) with other core financing led by the Government of Flanders and with additional contributions from the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Czech Centres.
EUNIC Mobility Scheme 2023-2024: Call for participants
Are you interested in travelling to another EUNIC member or cluster to learn more about their approach and exchange on a wide range of topics? The EUNIC Mobility Scheme allows any colleague of a EUNIC member to exchange knowledge and gain skills.
Role of Research & Insight in Cultural Relations
During a two-day Knowledge Sharing Workshop co-hosted by British Council and ifa at the British Council headquarters in London in March 2023, participants explored research areas of different EUNIC member organisations, synergies on certain topics, ways of commissioning research and of using insight for policy making, and programming in international cultural relations.
