On 11 and 12 June 2026, ifa – Institute for Foreign Cultural Relations hosted and co-organised the EUNIC General Assembly at their headquarters in Stuttgart, Germany.

On 20–21 April 2026, the EUNIC Focal Points & Nordic-Baltic Cluster Meeting took place in Helsinki, hosted by the Finnish Cultural & Academic Institutes.

More than 40 participants come together in Johannesburg, South Africa, from 13–15 October for the EUNIC Sub-Saharan Africa Regional Seminar exploring Africa-Europe cultural relations.

On 18 and 19 June 2025, heads of EUNIC member organisations convened in Amsterdam for the annual summer General Assembly.

More than 30 colleagues representing EUNIC member organisations came together in London on 14–15 May 2025 at the British Council headquarters in Stratford, London, for the EUNIC Focal Points Meeting.

Colleagues from across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region came together on 9–11 February 2025 for the Regional Cluster Seminar in Cairo, Egypt.

On 12 and 13 December 2024, EUNIC members gathered in Brussels for our biannual General Assembly to explore international cultural relations under new EU leadership, new opportunities in Sub-Saharan Africa, our collective commitment to climate, and renewed partnerships with Ukraine.

Colleagues from EUNIC clusters around Europe came together on 28 & 29 October for the Regional Cluster Seminar in Warsaw, Poland.

On 19 and 20 June, the EUNIC General Assembly welcomed EUNIC members across the network to Bucharest. Topics discussed at the GA included shifting geopolitics and the impact on cultural relations work, continued support and solidarity with the Ukrainian Institute and dynamics in Moldova, and the refreshing of EUNIC's Strategic Framework.

This year's EUNIC Focal Points meeting was co-hosted by the Croatian Ministry of Culture and Media in Zagreb on 25 & 26 April 2024.

On 25 and 26 January 2024, colleagues from all seven clusters in North America met for the regional cluster seminar in New York, USA.

On 7 and 8 December, the EUNIC General Assembly welcomed EUNIC members across the network to Brussels. At the meeting, the network elected Liviu Jicman, President of Romanian Cultural Institute, as new EUNIC Vice-President and welcomed Kirsten van den Hul, Director of DutchCulture, to the Board of Directors. The network also approved a new EUNIC Cluster in Uganda.

On 5 & 6 October 2023, colleagues from 16 clusters in the Asia-Pacific region met for the regional cluster seminar in Hanoi, Vietnam.

On 29 and 30 June, the EUNIC General Assembly was hosted by the Danish Cultural Institute in Denmark. The network welcomed the new presidency of Camilla Mordhorst from the Danish Cultural Institute and two new EUNIC Clusters in Indonesia and Côte d'Ivoire. Joined by a group of participants from the EUNIC Climate Culture(s) Creative Lab, the network engaged in a discussion on the role of cultural institutes for collective climate action.

Once a year, nominated Focal Points for EUNIC in each member organisation come together to co-create the programme of the EUNIC network, and to have a peer-to-peer platform to discuss key developments as well as current challenges in international cultural relations. This year, the meeting was co-hosted by the Lithuanian Culture Institute in Vilnius from 15-16 May 2023.

EUNIC held its General Assembly on 23 and 24 June in Munich. The network engaged in discussion, amongst others, about the war in Ukraine and the future of international cultural relations, common approaches and actions, and developments in the EUNIC cluster network. Members also elected a new Board of Directors and welcomed the three new EUNIC clusters in Barcelona, Kansai and New Zealand. The General Assembly also marked the incoming presidency of Goethe-Institut's Johannes Ebert.

The latest EUNIC regional seminar took place in Amman, Jordan on 7 & 8 March 2022. Colleagues from 10 out of the 13 clusters in the MENA region and invited Focal Points from EUNIC members headquarters met for two days of rich discussions and exchanges. The regional seminar was followed by a dedicated workshop with the EUNIC Jordan cluster.

During a busy and fruitful few days EUNIC held its General Assembly in Brussels on 2 and 3 December. Whilst hybrid, the majority of colleagues were able to join live. The network was introduced to new pilot projects for European Spaces of Culture, the selected projects for the 2021 EUNIC Cluster Fund and welcomed the new EUNIC Cluster in El Salvador.

EUNIC members exchanged with Sabine Verheyen MEP, presented new projects in response to Covid-19, launched the new Strategic Framework 2020-2024 and pledged to strengthen European cultural relations at the Online Members Assembly on 4 June 2020.

30 EUNIC members met in Brussels for the EUNIC General Assembly on 3 and 4 December 2019. They decided to work on a toolkit on fair international collaboration in the arts, workshopped on the revision of the new EUNIC Strategic Framework, raised extra funds for the EUNIC Cluster Fund and approved the establishment of four new EUNIC clusters.
