CINEMASCOP - More than a film festival

Cinemascop is a multi-layered intercultural project shaped as a festival, which has happened since 2018 in Eforie Sud, a small city at the Black Sea, taking place in a formerly abandoned summer cinema.

The festival brings together the locals and tourists from all over Romania, where they can watch European films from various countries, take part in creative workshops, admire exhibitions and socialise. The local community and the tourists had no access to any kind of culture or creative and social activities before the festival started running, and their hopes regarding the open air cinema being used again for its initial purpose were low.
