Internship opportunity at EUNIC

We are looking for an intern to support our communications and clusters work. If you’re passionate about international cultural relations and communications, and want to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic work environment, this is the role for you - apply by 20 October!

The internship allows for a degree of independence and autonomy. We are a young, international team of seven colleagues focusing on managing our network of cultural institutes with a global reach. We seek to find a confident colleague who is looking for a hands-on learning experience. The working language of the office is English.

Overview
Job title: Intern – Communications and Programme Support (100% - 38 hours)
Location: EUNIC office, Brussels, Belgium
Duration: 6 months, starting from 4 November 2024
Remuneration: 1,200 EUR net per month in addition to lunch vouchers and a city transportation card
Status: This internship is offered via the legal framework of ‘convention d’immersion professionnelle – contrat de stage’

Core tasks
• Assist in developing communications and social media plans: contribute ideas and support with creating content for website, social media channels, and the newsletter
• Support with the creation of digital comms assets and materials, such as visuals, templates, videos, etc.
• Support with administration, preparation, and logistics of the annual jury meeting for projects selected under the EUNIC Cluster Fund
• Support with the production, planning and logistics for upcoming programme events including regional seminars for EUNIC clusters
• Support keeping up-to-date records of key internal and external contacts as part of the organisational development of a new database

Skills and competences required
• Proactive, efficient, structured and organised approach to your work
• Proven interest and ability to work in an international environment focused on international cultural relations, with the relevant inter-cultural communication skills
• B2 level or higher in written and spoken English (other languages are an asset)
• Creativity and design skills would be an asset, using tools such as Canva, Adobe, InDesign, basic photo and video production/editing
• Experience with content creation and social media

Learning outcomes
• Learning about the landscape of contemporary topics in the field of international cultural relations and the work of EUNIC and the EU in this field
• Insight into the running of a globally active European cultural network
• Strategic communication in the context of cultural relations and how to use communication as a tool for advocacy
• Develop skills in planning, collaboration and execution of communication plans, events and funding programmes of a membership association
